(im)perfect is Cleapatra's first self-recorded and published musical project
On February 22 2022, Cleapatra released a collection of acoustic original songs. A body of work combining songs written over the previous 5 years.
Determined to release music into the world, she used what re-sources were available to her at the time. Over the summertime she taught her-self the ins and outs of a simple bedroom recording set up and the basics of mixing music.
Below are 3 home-made music videos; Take me, Silhouettes and I'm Alive, all featured on (im)perfect
Take Me is a song about trusting that there is light beyond the darkness. Choosing to dance rather than fight.
The final audio used for Take Me was that from the live video recording used for the music video.
Silhouettes originates from an 11min improvised jam session back in 2017. Cleapatra refers to mental delusions metaphorically as ‘silhouettes.’ Real or imagined? But none the less, something observed.
